How To Get Rid Of Underarm Fat

The second biggest area of concern for not just women, but also men, is how to get rid of underarm fat-- right behind getting rid of stomach flab.  So, what is the proper method on how to get rid of underarm flab?  Just like with any other muscle on your body, it's a combination of three different things:

Diet, exercises, and strength training.

Let's look at each of these areas in detail.

  • Diet-  Eating right is the biggest obstacle in obtaining the body that you want.  In order to achieve maximum results, you absolutely must eat right 100% of the time.  If you're not in maintenance mode, this is the route to go for optimal results.  Eat at least five servings of fruits and vegetables per day, switch to lean beef, switch to healthier sources of protein like turkey, fish, and chicken.  Limit the calories you drink, stay away from soda and drinks that contain sugar, and count your calories!  I can't stress enough how important it is to count your calories each day.  Don't estimate.  Know how many Kcal you are consuming each and every day.  If you're eating too many, slowly scale it back by 250 calories per day until you're in your optimal fat burning caloric range.  How do you get there?  Find out how many calories you're supposed to be consuming for your age, gender, activity level, and body type. 
  • Exercise- At least 5 days a week at 30 minutes per session.  Nothing less.  If you cannot dedicate 30 minutes per day to your cardiovascular exercise, then you need to re-evaluate your priorities and ask yourself how bad you truly want to get rid of the fat.  Odds are, if you don't want to put in 30 minutes per day, you don't want it bad enough.  Make sure that you're getting within 70-85% of your max heart rate (MHR).  Your MHR is 220 minus your age.  Keep your heart rate within those percentages for at least 20 minutes per workout.
  • Strength Training- This is the important part, so listen up!  The previous two talking points are to help alleviate the fat underneath the arm.  Strength training will help you tone the area!  Tricep exercises will tone that specific area, but it's recommended you perform resistance and weight training on each muscle group in the arm.  This will give your arm a better over-all toned look.  Tricep exercises include tricep kickbacks, tricep extensions, dips, etc.
