Fitness Tip of the Day: Protect Your Neck!

When you're doing crunches or situps, point your chin straight up toward the ceiling.  This will help prevent you from leading the motion with your neck and fatiguing your neck muscles quickly.  If you need to, put your hands behind your head to support your neck, but do not use your arms to pull your head up.  Lead your crunch in an upward motion with the chest, not the head.
