Fitness Tip of the Day: Don't Strength Train Too Long!

Try to keep your resistance training workouts to 45 minutes to an hour.  Anything more is counter productive.  Your body releases cortisol after a certain amount of time, which starts to block your body's testosterone production.


Get in, get your workout, and get out.  If you're not able to keep your weight training sessions to under an hour, consider doing a split schedule and working certain muscle groups on certain days.
